Every year of 1st April is World Arduino Day, where many of the Arduino related activities and events are organized and celebrated all over the world on this day. This year, Phandeeyar organized an event called “Arduino in Civic Tech” to show support for the Stay With Me road campaign, where we discussed the importance of using hardware technologies to have a positive impact on the local community.
Phandeeyar organized the whole day exhibition and invited local tech businesses and startups such as Myanmar Future Science, Open Logik Bits and Atom Engineering, and Hi-Z electronics, who all brought Arduino-based projects to showcase at the event. The event included 3 segments on traffic safety presentation and 1 practical learning session for Arduino where participants had the chance to make their own Arduino project.
Myanmar Future Science talked about the history of Arduino, the facts about Arduino and the ways of using Arduino in respective fields of learning and developing, hardware hacking and teaching aid designs. Hi-Z electronics also presented a robot can be controlled by the hand gestures to maneuver that tends to be used with wheelchairs for disables. Another quite interesting presentation by Proximity Designs for their some Agricultural techs they currently working on and also many potential projects had got many questions and feedbacks. Moreover, participants got the chance to learn the basic of Arduino, taught by Green Electronics.
The aim of the event is to familiarize the community with the platform and incorporate Arduino in road safety. Participants had a brainstorming session where they came up with ideas on how Arduino could be used to reduce road accidents.
To complete the celebration of World Arduino Day, we prepare a cake for everyone to enjoy
