Chate Sat (chatesat.com), Myanmar’s first ever Freelancing Platform, received a six figure funding from 3 local and international venture capital firms on Thursday 06 July 2017. Congratulations, Honey Mya Win and team!
The funding came from big international players and a new generation of Myanmar business leaders: Singapore-based Vulpes Investment Management Ltd., Theta Capital, and a Myanmar-based angel investor.
Chate Sat is one of the four startups from Phandeeyar Accelerator Cohort 1, which took place from September 2016 to March 2017. On the first day moving into Phandeeyar Accelerator, Chate Sat team launched chatesat.com. The website provides a platform for local freelancers and businesses to find or give freelance work. No need to give a huge sum to the middleman. Cool, huh?
Chate Sat had over 3,400 freelancers and 590 employers at the end of Phandeeyar Accelerator cohort 1. Now, they have over 4,600 freelancers and 770 employers currently using the platform. Their goals for 2017? To expand to Myanmar’s hottest job markets next to Yangon: Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, and Taunggyi. Their target? To sign up over 8,000 freelancers and 2,000 employers
